8 DAYS CROATIA – BOSNIA – MONTENEGRO MARIANSHRINES & TOURS

Day 1 SPLIT AIRPORT – TROGIR - SPLIT

Upon arrival at Split Airport, you will be greeted by your guide who will accompany you for the next eight days. If your flight arrives early, you'll meet your guide and explore the charming town of Trogir with Kristina. Later in the afternoon, you'll head to Split and check in at the hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel, and you're welcome to explore the town on your own as the hotel is centrally located. You'll spend the night at the hotel in Split.

Day 2 SPLIT - MEDJUGORJE

8 AM: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

9 AM: Meet your guide, in the city of Split. This city is located in the warmest region of the northern Mediterranean coast. The Split tour's city sights include:

- Sightseeing of Split with the old city core that has developed within and around spacious Diocletian's Palace (part of UNESCO's World Heritage), the most famous and well-preserved ancient monument in Croatia.

- A walk through the small picturesque streets paved with stone to the Cathedral of St. Domnius, originally the mausoleum of Diocletian.

- A visit to the well-preserved Diocletian's Cellars.

- Finish the tour on the beautiful waterfront, the symbol of this Mediterranean city, full of charming cafés.

11.00: Enjoy free time for lunch on the Riviera.

13.00 Depart to Medjugorje with an en-route stop at the little shrine of Lourdes for refreshment by the sea and to visit the shrine.

16.00 Check in at your hotel

17.00 Introduction around St. James church by the guide.You will see the outside altar, the statue of our Blessed Lady, the statue of St. Leopold, and the confessionals. You will also visit the prayer area and the statue of the Risen Savior, which is known for its unexplained seepage of water from the leg. You can purchase a package of small cloth napkins and moisten each napkin with this water to give as a special religious gift to friends back home. You will also visit the Medjugorje statue of the Queen of Peace, which is a symbol of the Shrine.

19 h Holy Mass 20- h Blessings of objects, Prayer for the health of soul and body, Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary 20.30 Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Medjugorje.

Day 3 MEDJUGORJE APPARITION HILL

6 am early morning climb with the guide at the Apparition hill

Your guide will accompany you as you follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. As you climb, you can see the inspired artistry of the bronze plaques depicting each mystery of the rosary

Join the daily English Mass at 10 am At 11 am.

Afternoon visit the “Cenacolo” Communitywhich was founded in Saluzzo (Italy) by Sr. Elvira Petrozzi in 1983, to help drug addicts. The main goal of the community is to discover and live the true values of the Christian life. The boys of the “Cenacolo” community gladly receive pilgrims and give witness to their conversion and liberation from drug addiction.

Day 4 Cross Mountain – MOSTAR

7.00 Breakfast at the hotel. 8 am meet your guide who will accompany you to the Cross Mountain. As you climb, you can see the inspired artistry of the bronze plaques depicting each mystery of the Way of the Cross.

In 1933, the villagers built a thirty-foot cross at Cross Mountain, to commemorate the 1900th anniversary of Christ's crucifixion. 

Join English-speaking mass from 10 – 11 am.

11.15 Depart for Mostar along Neretva:

Stari Most Bridge: Pass under the iconic Stari Most Bridge—a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Guided Tour: Your knowledgeable guide will reveal the city’s history, from its Ottoman past to the scars of the Bosnian War. Visit the Old Bazaar, the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, and other historical gems.

Lunch in Mostar: Immerse yourself in Bosnian culture by joining a traditional meal at the most Famous Sadrvan Restaurants for local cuisine (optional 16 Euro pp 3 course meal)

Day 5 Trebinje – Bay of Kotor - Budva

Departure after breakfast through picturesque mountains towards the Bay of Kotor and you then have a guided tour to the city of Kotor and its surrounding territory in the Republic of Montenegro.

Stop for lunch in Trebinje and have free time to scroll around.

In the Middle Ages, this natural harbor on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro was an important artistic and commercial center with its famous schools of masonry and iconography. The 1979 earthquake seriously damaged a large number of the monuments (including four Romanesque churches and the town walls) but the town has been restored largely with UNESCO's help.

Continuing to Kotor, drive along the bay In Kotor we will visit:

o Clock Tower

o Flour Square with Pima and Buca palaces

o St Tryphon Cathedral with a short guided tour of the Cathedral

o The Bokelian Navy Square with Karampana

o The St Luke Square with St Luke and St Nikola churches

o St Mary of the River (the blessed Ozana)

o Northern Gate with Skurda River

From Kotor, we will continue to Budva. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Budva

Day 6 Budva - Dubrovnik

After your buffet breakfast at the hotel, explore Budva on your own and wonder at the cafes by the sea, parks, and forests with magnificent views

Depart for Dubrovnik

Check in to your hotel and explore the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a filming location for Game of Thrones.

Walk along the city walls, visit the Franciscan Monastery, the Rector’s Palace, and the Sponza Palace, and take a cable car to Mount Srđ for a panoramic view of the city and the sea.

Enjoy a romantic lunch at one of the many restaurants, or a drink at the Buža bar, a hidden spot on the cliffs.

Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 7 Elafiti Islan Tour

We are going on an Elafiti Island cruise

- Departure towards Sipan island
- Arrival to Sipan, free time
- Lunch on board the ship
- Departure for Lopud island
- Arrival in Lopud and free time for swimming and sunbathing
- Departure from Lopud
